ABOUT US Our Story Therapy Scalp & Hair Care was born from a simple truth: you can't have healthy hair without a healthy scalp. After more than 20 years behind the chair, founder Claudia Mendieta saw the same story again and again — clients chasing product after product, when the real answer was underneath it all. So she built something different: a studio in Oceanside, NY dedicated to treating the scalp as the foundation of hair health — not an afterthought. What We Do We start where it matters most: with a professional scalp analysis and diagnosis. From there, we create a personalized plan drawing from our therapy menu — detoxifying scrub therapy, hair follicle strengthening, scalp purification, calming and balancing treatments, and more. We also offer full salon services: color, balayage, highlights, styling, and advanced repair treatments like keratin, nanoplastia, and hair filler. CANCELLATION POLICY
At Therapy Scalp & Hair Care, we understand that life can be unpredictable. To ensure the best experience for all our clients and to respect the time of both our professionals and other clients, we have established the following cancellation policy: 1. Cancellation Notice: ⚬ We kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to accommodate other clients who may be waiting for an appointment. 2. Late Cancellations or No-Shows: ⚬ If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within less than 24 hours of the scheduled time, or if you fail to show up for your appointment, a $50 charge of the scheduled service fee will apply. ⚬ No-shows will be charged the full price of the scheduled service. 3. Repeat Offenders: ⚬ Clients who frequently cancel, reschedule, or fail to show up for appointments may be required to provide the full service cost for future bookings. 4. Emergency Situations: ⚬ We understand that emergencies happen. If you find yourself in a situation where you cannot provide sufficient notice, please reach out to us as soon as possible. We will do our best to work with you. 5. Deposits for Special Services: ⚬ For certain services (e.g., chemical treatments, large group appointments, or bridal packages), we require a deposit at the time of booking. The deposit is non- refundable in the case of a late cancellation or no-show. 6. How to Cancel: ⚬ You can cancel or reschedule your appointment by calling us directly at (347) 317-4169 or by emailing therapyscalpandhaircare@yahoo.com . I've spent more than 20 years helping people fall back in love with their hair. Early in my career, I noticed something that changed everything for me: most hair problems — thinning, breakage, dullness, irritation — trace back to one place, the scalp. That discovery became my passion and my specialty. That's why I built Therapy Scalp & Hair Care around a philosophy that blends science and care in equal measure. With every client, I start with a thorough scalp analysis, so we treat the real cause and not just the symptoms. From detoxifying scrubs and follicle-strengthening therapies to color, balayage, and repair treatments, I bring precision, warmth, and two decades of hands-on experience to every appointment.
